Terraformations is a multidisciplinary architecture platform with an emphasis on the materiality and memory of the landscape. We have aquired experience in undertaking many and varied projects of varying scale. Concerned with the aesthetic values of culture, sustainability, earth materials and circular planning of the landscape, we explore the possibilities of the design in proportion to the requirements of our clients and partners.

Our Atelier has 12 years of experience in the field, having handled private and public projects of various requirements. We collaborate with architectural firms, construction groups, engineering companies, and designers.

Manifest

We try to discard the stereotypical vocabulary where the boundaries are complex and indistinct. We consider the meanings of each landscape to be constantly contested and practiced in it, so to constitute a commitment to experiential experience. We avoid spaces only for the purposed relaxation and seek contemplation within it. We believe that all utopias lead to heterotopias. Our architectural philosophy is directly proportional to the wideness of our spirit to new thoughts and ideas that come from intuitive expression through whatever option we have. We are determined to produce architectural thought rather than image refinement. We desire our works to be as springboard to a cultural act.

Our pursuit is the coordination of the internal structure with the external relations through the attempt to interact with the landscape from the meaning given to it by the user.

We are examine the conceptual inclusion of the landscape as it is structured in the spatial and temporal depth that lives through it.We investigate the relationships and interactions that touch on broader parameters such as cultural, environmental, social, archaeology, psychology, art, etc. in order to define local correlations.

Architectural Planning Using the visual and cartographic media and technology that we have, we study the purpose and the case of the landforms, the soils, the hydrography and the land uses. In order to integrate and upgrade the “quality of the landscape”, by the users.

Sustainability results from the long-term approach of the planning and the need for inventive solutions of a circular architecture that we seek to embrace as a belief through our continuous research. We aim to a future forward mindset.

Landscape In this interdisciplinary field, we specialize in carrying out integrated services of high quality, producing holistic planning at an architectural and agricultural level for the implementation of phytotechnical studies of a multitude of climatic variations. We carry out from the integrated management of degraded habitat zones, sensitive landscapes to the highlighting of existing. Study and construction of  parks, playgrounds , gardens and more.

Urban planning Flows, structures and buildings embody meanings within the urban environment. We seek to coordinate the spatial differences that we collect in the urban space by constructing symbols and “character” in the place where human wishes to meet his needs.

Art We are perceptive to art like landscape sculpture and to the interactive relationships of new technologies that stimulate us to develop new relationships and interactions. The visual media of communication help to a conceptual perception of the environment. The redefining of existing objects and of our habits always comes through our consistency in research guided by the idea that governs their re-meaning, this for us is the basic principle in the practice of art.

Projection In the chaotic world, the Newtonian scales do not work, we are destined to introduce intersections in space and time in order to understand it. In essence, we introduce boundaries so that we can perceive them. Only through mental projections can we accept this torturous truth, so our guide is the “time depth” for the next generations as much as possible receive a variability that is manageable or as good as possible. This is our mοtto.
