Nonna’s House restoration (Atelier Terraformations)

The atelier Terraformations has its headquarters in a 1930s building where it undertook its renovation. It once consisted of a composite construction by sun-dried and klin-baked bricks sheltered by a tiled roof. It was home to the Ktenopoulos family, originally from Asia Minor and founders of a pottery industry enterprise, that contributed to the development in the wider area. Brickwork repair inserts and plasters made of Thyraic earth materials were used.  Water-based and breathable paints were subsequently used. The old concrete tile floors, casing has been highlighted. The procedure was done respectfully to the antiquity of the building with the  “nonfinite” technique. Today a historical family building place connects the past with the comfort of a working office.
