Private Villa Kipiadi

The main idea regarding the surrounding areas of the residence, comes in touch with the fact that the circular shape of the house is based on an introverted strict and logical shape which seems  to have landed in a densely forested area.

The building is discreetly hidden in the natural environment, so the challenge is to harmonize further this sense with a modest planning.

The purity of the design form is observable from birds eye view. For this reason, the challenge is to study a space that would combine as little as possible intervention in its natural landscape, with the purity of a symbolic form that could be observable. The form that we were inspired by was to twist and extend the garden into a radial form that follows the rule of the golden ratio. That leads to platforms of isolation, relaxation and leisure, which embraces the coniferous forest, that frames the views or hides it depending on the visual spots of the observator in a radial direction.
